But our story began far away from hospitals, clinics and operating rooms.

Two Interior Architects, One Vision

SAR Uniform was founded by two interior architects: Rabia Özdemir and Sultan Murat Özdemir.

Our professional backgrounds were rooted in design.

For years, we studied how people interact with spaces, materials, functionality and experiences.

Interior architecture taught us something that would later shape our entire approach to medical apparel:

Great design should make everyday life better.

The way something looks matters.

The way something feels matters.

But most importantly, the way it improves someone's daily experience matters.

These principles became the foundation of SAR Uniform.

Discovering a Different Kind of Design Challenge

When we entered the medical apparel industry, we noticed something that stayed with us.

Healthcare professionals carried enormous responsibility.

They worked long shifts.

They spent countless hours on their feet.

They cared for patients during some of life's most difficult and meaningful moments.

Yet many of the products designed for them felt overlooked.

Uniforms were often created to meet a requirement.

Not to support the people wearing them.

As designers, we couldn't ignore that.

We saw an opportunity to create something better.

Not simply better-looking uniforms.

But products thoughtfully designed around the people who wear them every day.

From the beginning, our goal was never simply to manufacture scrubs.

We wanted to build a brand that healthcare professionals could genuinely connect with.
